After tipping our hats and general grovelling at his feet, future World Emperor, musician, inventor, toy maker and general nice guy Dr. Steel took a short break from building his marvellous toys and kindly granted Æther Emporium a short audience. 

Dr. Steel, some call you a visionary, a man ahead of his time, but the question begs how do you, Dr. Steel see yourself ?

Why thank you for the compliments, my good man. Indeed, one’s self opinion is rather important in forging a road ahead. I like to consider myself completely out of my mind, it relieves a lot of responsibility and allows me to maintain a constant flow of creativity. It is creating that I live for, so this priority is at the top of my list.

You are quoted as saying "I envision a world where the only obligation of the people is to have fun…” a strong sentiment indeed and central to your philosophy, how do you plan to achieve this goal?

I practice this ideal myself, each and every day. I aim to manifest my own reality and have been doing so for quite some time. Such manifestation of reality seems to be that much more efficient when others share the same vision, so by encouraging the masses to envision a Utopian Playland, their intentions assist my own goals. Each and every day I focus on creating a new world around me and it has proven to be a world that others wish to share. There is obviously a great interest in changing the collective perspective of the world and rejecting the manufactured fear brought on by The System.

World domination has been attempted by many, all have failed in their goal, where do you think they went wrong?

Quite the contrary, world domination has indeed been achieved. It has been a rather successful victory, though it has only been a victory to the few who use their absolute power system to keep the masses afraid, tired and bored out of their minds. Their reality engineering has been designed to convince us that we are not being manipulated, but this misinformation is deteriorating. Humans are flawed and imperfect but with great potential of grand creation. To access this creative force is to live in wonderment and fun rather than in fear. Once we make this the top priority, the world shall undergo a radical transformation and with this knowledge, the powers that be will cease to maintain a stranglehold on the people.

During your stage show you employ the use of puppets in your performance, a rather anachronistic device compared to your state the art robots you have waiting in the wings. Do you think we rely on new technologies too much, that we are being controlled by it rather than us controlling it?

In all things, we must recognize the power of contrast. It is this balance that I have come to realize is absolutely essential in creating an interesting experience. I utilize such contrast in all creations I manifest and the rickety puppet show is certainly no exception. Regarding technology, I am in full support of such knowledge and experimentation. Though, I do believe that we often barrel ahead without first asking the question “should we do this?”. This is complicated by financial agendas and political angles of course as there are many new technologies simply waiting to make this world a better place, many of which are being suffocated by powers-that-be in order to maintain control. I look forward to the human race transcending biology, as Ray Kurzweil puts it, when we evolve into a far more efficient form of existence.

Blind loyalty is listed on your toy army application form as a requirement to become a Toy Soldier , what else do you expect of your troops, do your nurses have special duties for example?

Ah yes, blind loyalty is a rather necessary trait when aiming to build an army. Though I truly only require one duty from my Toy Soldiers, and that is to have fun. I am constantly impressed and deeply honoured by the thousands of creative Soldiers who band together from across the globe, carrying out unique missions to spread the propaganda. It is this individual form of inventive thinking that makes me so very proud.

Your Toy Soldiers, as demonstrated over on Toysoldiersunite.com , spread the word of Dr. Steel in ingenious ways, can you recall any memorable acts of daring carried out by any of them to further the cause?

Oh goodness, yes. Frankly there are too many to mention here. The Soldiers are tapping into their own, unique talents and this is what the Army of Toy Soldiers is truly about. The goal is to be able to access that spark of creativity inside yourself and find inspiration in manifesting your own creation. A Utopian Playland has already begun to manifest, for these brilliant individuals have taken the time to change their patterns of a “normal” life and do something from a place of inspiration.

Ah yes, indeed the United Kingdom shall see the invasion of a grand troop of Toy Soldiers very shortly. With other Toy Soldier Divisions growing each and every day I look forward to seeing a march in every country across the globe! Once I get my flying saucers working, such invasions shall be far easier.
